The National Committee for Quality Assurance is one of the oldest and well known organizations that does public reporting and also provide quality performance measures. Others who are also on this list of organizations that report data are places like the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the National Quality Forum (NQF) who promotes what the standard quality should be in a facility. The NQF also provides the quality performance measures along with organizations such as the American Medical Association (AMA), Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), The Joint Commission (TJC) and Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC). Among these organizations there are some as already mentioned that also provide a service to help meet quality performance improvements. Some of the other organizations on this list include the American Medical Association’s Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement (PCPI) and the Agency for Healthcare and Research Quality (AHRQ). These organizations help get facilities to the expectations and performance they are in need of reaching and maintaining for the benefit of patients.
